On March 20, we celebrated my birthday with our family and a few friends and we had cake ice cream and a few presents. I mostly got money that I could use for my shopping extravaganza and We got a new camera!

Surprise! Happy Birthday!
We decided to celebrate my birthday early this year because Paul was going to have to work. I also have had no ideas as to what to get for my birthday. One day I was talking to my step-mom and she said that one thing that she use to do with her daughters is take an amount of money and just spend the day at the mall going shopping eating out and just having a great time. I really liked this idea and so I told Paul he could get me a few things off my amazon.com wishlist but what I really wanted was to go shopping. So, he planned a shopping trip for me to what I thought was going to be Salt Lake City. He planned it so well that I had it in my mind that I was going to be having a great weekend in Salt Lake City, Ut while my sister Sarah watched Braiden and I went shopping with Paul.

The next morning as we were getting packed up I kept telling Paul that we didn't need this and we didn't need that and then about 10 min before we left to go to the store to get some last min things, he comes in and says, "Marianne, I have one more present for you, we aren't going to Salt Lake, I made reservations for a cabin in Jackson Hole, Wy!" I was like you're kidding, right? and he said are you disappointed and I said no, maybe a little. I was so happy and excited after I thought about it and I was so proud of him for surprising me so well and even including my sister in on it! He really did a great job of planning and we had a great vacation and Braiden got to come with us! it was so much fun!

On February 17, Braiden turned 1! so hard to believe that he has been with us for a year he has grown so much and so have we. We decided that as a family we would celebrate the day after his birthday but we did end up having a little celebration at Grandpa Bawden's house on Braiden's actual birthday with dinner cupcakes and a few presents. Braiden sure enjoyed his cupcake!
On February 18, we invited a few friends and family to come celebrate Braiden's first birthday with a Disney Cars theme and everyone had a blast! Sarah helped decorate the cake and it turned out amazing and Braiden got a lot of neat toys and by the time the party was over we were all exhausted!

Have a few Min
So I thought I have a few min to write before I need to get ready for church and thought I would update you on our lives.
We started trying for another child back in Nov. and I didn't show signs of anything for almost 10 weeks before we finally got the news... I'm pregnant! Since I couldn't pinpoint the last period, we had to wait til we saw the doctor to figure out when the baby would get here. Our little bundle is due Sept. 15 and we are so very excited to be parents again and for Braiden to be a big brother.
Braiden is getting so big so fast! We can hardly believe that he will be 1 years old on Friday. This year has gone by so fast. I really believe my parents now when they said, " It feels like yesterday you were born." It really does feel like he was born not that long ago. He is standing on his own now but has only taken one step by himself then he gets back in his comfort zone of crawling and I'm okay with that I know he will walk when he is ready to walk. He says a few words but not very noticeable it still sounds a lot like baby babble but to me it almost makes sense like he really is talking. He says dada, mom, mama, da (dog/dad), isss, and some other things, but like I said, I can figure out most things that he trys to say and it is so neat!
The dog and cat are great to have around and bring so much joy to each of us, especially Braiden. He loves chasing the dog around and loves seeing the cat and he pets them both and they are both very good natured around him which we are very grateful for.
It is time to get ready now but I will keep you posted and hope you are all doing as well as we are. Love ya!
